Virgin Mary of Tenos Island
The holy church dedicated to the Virgin Mary of Tenos Island, was built right on the spot where Her icon was found in 1823. It’s a dominating structure mostly by white marble, hosting the icon of Virgin Mary that thousands of Christian visitors pay their respects to, on a yearly basis.
St. Theodora Church, Arcadia
On the roof of the church the visitor can see 17 trees standing without demolishing the church, for centuries now. The church was built in 12 century and is visited by many faithful people from around the world. The area is beautiful, since beside the church runs a small river.

Monastery of Porta Panagias, Thessaly (Virgin Mary)
You will find Porta Panagias near Mouzaki in Thessaly, right across the small town of Pylis (Gate). The monastery is no longer active but you will admire the great architecture of its church.
St. Fotini church in Arcadia
Near the city of Tripoli, almost next to ancient Mantinea, the visitor encounters an original church, that of St. Fotini. The architecture and its materials, make this church unique as it blends elements of ancient Greek culture and Byzantine art. The building is a live example of the transition from the Twelve Gods of Ancient Greeks to Christianity.
Holy Monastery of Panagia Kremasti, Ilia (Virgin Mary)
The Monastery’s church has been built in a cave. Worshippers have to walk up a lot of stairs, in order to reach the Monastery, but the view from the church balkony will reward them. The Monastery is consecrated to Virgin Mary (Panagia) and celebrates on the 23rd Of August.
Virgin of the Rocks, Corinthia
The site is gorgeous, while the green color blends with the image of tall steep and sharp rocks on the trail. This special spectacle caused the place to be also known as «the Meteora of Corinth.» The church, built right on the rocks, is by itself a unique sight!
