Kefalonia island: The "emerald" of the Ionian Sea!

Fiscardo, Kefalonia

It is a picturesque coastal village in the northern side of Kefalonia island , which lately has become a global tourist destination. Visitors can go by ferryboat to the port of Vassiliki in Lefkas or to Ithaca islands. Fiskardo offers several accommodation options. The local cuisine is delicious and you will find some of the best restaurants throughout the island. Fiskardo is located approximately 50 kilometers away from the island’s capital, called Argostoli. Sami is a well-known town, the biggest port of the island of Kefalonia. It is located 20 kilometers away from Argostoli with a view across the sea to Ithaca. Sami is the tourist and shopping center of Kefalonia. The area has been inhabited since the pre-Hellenic period and the folklore town of today is definitely going to be to your liking.
Svoronata, Kefalonia

It is located just a breath away (9 kilometers) from Argostoli-the island’s capital. It’s a beautiful area full of life all summer long. Svoronata is also quite close to the airport of Kefalonia. Although the area has been evolved in tourism the latest years, it manages to maintain its folk atmosphere and you will be able to admire the traditional buildings of island architecture. As for the near-by beaches, they will win you over at first glance!
