Located in Lassithi in the east end of Crete, just north of Palekastro located about 20 km from Sitia. It is a protected natural area due to existence of the Cretan palm. This particular palm in Vai is known from Minoan era and it is called Theophrastus palm (Phoenix theophrasti). Very beautiful of course is the beach of Vai, which is internationally known.
